A concert pianist first, then postgraduate research on the mathematics inside music, then a deep-future research institute, Starlab in Brussels, where I was a principal investigator. Years building my own firm on organisational design and a complexity-based method. Data and AI delivery for global brands in the wave before generative AI. And since then, the delivery executive on one of Europe's largest post-trade market infrastructures, through cloud, data, digital assets, and now AI.
Since October 2026 I am Head of Research at Capgemini's FS AI Enterprise Hub. I run the research programme and the Hub's relations with universities and public bodies, and I work on two things myself: the control plane, where an institution decides what its agents may do and on what evidence, and governed knowledge, what an agent is allowed to act on across the organisation.
Every institution will soon have the same models and the same agent products. So the difference will be made in the operation around them, and that is where I work: how an institution keeps an agentic operation trusted, reliable, and resilient while the models, the knowledge, the rules, and the business around it keep changing.
With Arnaud Gelas I have published the papers on governed AI and the Agentic Engineering Manifesto. The theory is written. We are now implementing it on the ground, client by client, and testing every assumption there.
Which is where the piano, the mathematics, the complexity science, and the years of building systems that have to hold under consequence come together. I speak about it at conferences and with clients.
